The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday deployed 16 personnel to Sulat town in Eastern Samar to repair the remaining houses and public markets damaged by Typhoon Ruby.
MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said the team will stay in Sulat for six days.
He added that more MMDA personnel will be sent next year to rebuild houses damaged by the typhoon.
The MMDA, last December 10, deployed 26 personnel to Sulat to clear the debris left by Ruby.
The typhoon wrecked homes and sent huge waves crashing through coastal communities when it slammed into Eastern Samar earlier this month.
Aside from the repairs, the team will also distribute more than 200 packs of relief goods, including rice, noodles and canned goods.
In January, the MMDA sent 30 fishing boats to Sulat to give livelihood to victims of Super Typhoon Yolanda as part of its adopt-a-municipality program.
