• MMDA to clear ‘Mabuhay’ lanes of obstructions

IN preparation for the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will start on Monday clearing of “Mabuhay” lanes or alternate routes of obstruction. The move, MMDA Officer-in-Charge Emerson Carlos said, aims to decongest the designated alternate routes for motorists who want to avoid EDSA. In conducting the clearing operations, MMDA personnel will be joined by personnel from local government units, Department of Public Works and Highways, and the Philippine National Police- Highway Patrol Group. Operatives from the Department of Interior and Local Government and Land Transportation Office will also participate.
