MMDA WARNS BARANGAY CANDIDATES

0

THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned candidates of the barangay elections to strictly observe the policy banning the use of Metro Manila’s major thoroughfares for election-related activities. MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said those who will be proven violating the policy will be fined one to six years imprisonment and disqualification from holding public office. The Commission on Elections has approved an MMDA proposal to regulate the use of Metro Manila’s major thoroughfares for election-related activities during the barangay elections.
