MOTORISTS are warned of heavy traffic in some portions of C-5 in Pasig City as well as in some areas of Caloocan City and Quezon City this weekend.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) on Friday cited scheduled road reblocking and repairs to be undertaken this weekend by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
MMDA Assistant General Manager for Operations Emerson Carlos said the road works will be conducted in the following areas:
For Southbound: Along C-5 Road (Gap 4) Pasig Boulevard to Bagong Ilog Service Road.
For Northbound: Along Mindanao Avenue from Road 1 to Catleya Street, 4th inner lane; along C-5 Road from Pasig Boulevard to Mary Immaculate Hospital; along C-5 Road from Valle Verde / Resins Inc. to Lanuza Street, 3rd outermost lane; and along EDSA between Tirona Street and Mascardo Street, Caloocan City, 1st lane from center island.
For Westbound: Along Batasan Road from Sinagtala Street to Filinvest I, 3rd inner lan.
Carlos said the reblocking and repair for maintenance purposes were recommended by DPWH-National Capital Region Director Reynaldo Tagudando.
He advised motorists to avoid these areas and use alternate routes instead.
All affected roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday.
