ILOILO CITY: The Department of Health (DOH) is advising everyone to be moderate in eating, especially fatty foods, drinking of beer and hard liquor and use of firecrackers during the holiday season. DOH Regional Director Marlyn Convocar said that persons with disease in the heart and blood pressure must avoid fatty foods and hard drinks especially in many Christmas parties. Firecrackers are the major causes of injuries and 90 hospitals in the region are busy treating eye injury, burns, injuries caused by stray bullets and other multiple injuries during Christmas and New Year.
