UNKNOWN men carted away more than a P100, 000 in cash after robbing a money remittance center early Sunday morning in a remote village in Agusan del Sur province, police reports said on Monday.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame said that the robbed money remittance center was an LBC branch in San Francisco town, Agusan del Sur.
Police investigation revealed that the robbers removed the iron roof of the said establishment and made their way inside. The incident happened between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Sunday, reports said.
The reports said that once the robbers were inside, they immediately destroyed the safety vault and took cash amounting to P122, 407.
Responding policemen recovered one empty belt bag, one flashlight and a 4-meter long rope.
Police are still conducting follow up investigation to determine the identity of the robbers. ANTHONY VARGAS
