• Monsoon rains forecast for northern, eastern Luzon for next 2 days

Northern and eastern Luzon will be rainy for the next two days due to northeast monsoon, PAGASA said on Sunday.

The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Bicol and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience scattered light rains.

The rest of the country including Metro Manila will continue to have a mixture of sunny to partly cloudy skies with possible light rains in the afternoon or evening.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range fro 21-31 degrees Celsius for Sunday while Baguio at 14-23 degrees Celsius.

In the Pacific Ocean, a tropical storm with the international name “Francisco” is moving northward and will likely enter Philippine territory on Tuesday.

Once it does, it will be named “Urduja.”

“Urduja” will be the fourth cyclone to enter the country this month and the 21st for this year.

Just like typhoon “Tino,” the cyclone is likely to stay inside the Philippine territory for less than 48 hours and will not make landfall, PAGASA said.
