Monster Jam lifts off at the MOA Arena this weekend

jam20150616Filipinos will have the chance to experience America’s grandest and most exciting live motorsport competition this weekend with the staging of Monster Jam at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City.

The event will feature four-meter tall, five-ton monster trucks that almost fly and crash through metal boulders. Trucks such as the Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, and Zombie, to name a few, will face-off in two major competitions – racing and freestyle.

Racing is traditional bracket racing, where the first truck to cross the finish line with the least number of penalties is declared the winner.

The freestyle competition allows the trucks time on an open floor to show off their skills as they finesse the huge machines in a jaw-dropping display of punishing stunts and remarkable tricks like “cyclones,” “donuts” and “wheelies” to keep the crowd on the edge of their seats.

Families will also get the ultimate fan experience when they meet the incredibly talented drivers like Jon Zimmer of Grave Digger, Neil Elliot of Maximum Destruction, and Bari Musawwir of Zombie during the world-famous Party in the Pits.

Ticket prices start at PhP 850 only at SM Tickets, and one may call (02) 470 2222 or visit

Monster Jam plays live at 2:00pm  and 7:30pm  on June 20, Saturday and 2:00pm on June 21, Sunday at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.

The MOA Arena is a multi-purpose venue that can accommodate a seating capacity of 15,000, with a full house at 20,000. Designed for concerts and basketball games, it can also be configured to a fashion show and venue for huge extravaganzas.
