Hollywood actor Lea Michele, was inconsolable and devastated over the death of her boyfriend and fellow Glee star Cory Monteith, according to a statement released by her representative.
In a report by People magazine, the unidentified spokesman said “We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea’s privacy during this devastating time.”
Meanwhile, HollywoodLife.com through a source reported that “She [Lea Michele] is absolutely hysterical and completely inconsolable. She is devastated beyond belief.”
Monteith was found dead on Sunday afternoon (Manila time) at his hotel room in Vancouver, Canada. Monteith was in the city to visit his mother. The cause of death has yet to be determined but the police has ruled out foul play.
Early this year, Monteith entered rehabilitation for drug abuse receiving full support from Michelle.
Former Glee star Charice Pempenco expressed disbelief over the death of Monteith, who was famous for his role as Finn Hudson on the same musical and comedy show.
In an interview with TV Patrol on Sunday, and just hours after Monteith’s death, Charice said, “Hindi ko ine-expect na ganun. Hindi ko ine-expect na ganito kaaga. Kanina nga sinasabi ko, life is too short talaga kaya huwag sasayangin.”
Charice appeared and worked with Monteith in the hit musical comedy series’ second season. She urged Filipino fans of the series to pray for Monteith’s family and friends, most especially Michele, who play’s Glee’s female lead Rachel Berry.
“For Lea Michele, I just want to say sorry. I know she’s a very nice person and I know it’s very, very hard for her right now. The only thing that I can do for her and his family is to pray,” Charice said.
