• More drugs seized in Parañaque, QC

    JOINT police operatives arrested three suspects and seized three kilos of suspected “shabu” worth at least P10 million during a buy bust operation on Monday night in Parañaque City.

    Chief Insp. Elizabeth Jasmin, spokesperson of the PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), identified those arrested as Mustapha Madayao Batonggara, a resident of Carlos Palanca St., Quiapo, Manila and Binnor Pangcatan Macabato, of Sta. Mesa, Manila.

    Amatonding Noroden Alap, a resident of Carlos Palanca St., San Miguel, Manila was also arrested in the drug sting operation at Barangay Baclaran, Parañaque City, Jasmin said.

    The buy bust operation was conducted jointly by operatives of the CIDG-Cavite as the lead unit supported by CIDG- National Capital Region (NCR- Southern Police District).

    Seized from the suspects were two plastic bags containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be “shabu” weighing at least three kilos.

    The arrested suspects were brought to the CIDG office in Cavite, while charges for violation of R.A 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Drug Acts of 2002 are being readied against them.

    Meanwhile, in Quezon City, around 10 individuals were arrested in Barangay Old Balara by the operatives of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) who confiscated from them seven kilos of marijuana.

    A tipster complained to the authorities via text message about the selling of illegal drugs in their community.

    Recovered from the suspects were seven blocks and four sachets of marijuana worth P63,000 and a revolver.

    Police are still investigating where the suspects got the illegal drugs and to whom these are sold.

    The police operation is part of the city’s “Oplan Bulabog.”

    Supt. Robert Sales, Chief of QCPD Station 6, commended the cooperation of the public in informing them about the illegal trade and use of drugs in their area.
