More appointees will soon be disclosed by the Duterte administration.
According to unimpeachable sources of The Manila Times from the Duterte camp, some of the incoming appointees are schooolmates or even classmates of President Rodrigo Duterte from the San Beda College of Law.
Some of the appointees will be fraternity brothers of the Duterte from the Lex Talionis from the law school.
Duterte will appoint lawyer Fred Lim as Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) president and chief operating officer, replacing Jorge Sarmiento.
Earlier, he named former Pampanga congresswoman Andrea Domingo as Pagcor chairman.
Lim and Duterte were classmates and fraternity brothers at the San Beda College of Law.
Lim was said to have convinced Duterte to run for the presidency and acted as one of the campaign managers of Duterte during the May 2016 elections.
In the Judicial and Bar Council, retired Court of Appeals (CA) Justice Aurora Santiago-Lagman is expected to step down on July 16 after her four-year term as JBC member for the private sector expires.
Lagman served for two terms in the council.
The Manila Times source said Duterte is eyeing his classmate, Judge Toribio Ilao Jr. of Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 266, to succeed Lagman.
Ilao handled the case of Andrea Rosal, daughter of communist New People’s Army leader Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal.
For the Department of Justice (DOJ), three undersecretaries were already whispered and who happened to be very close to Duterte and Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre.
Aguirre and Duterte belonged to Class of 1971 of the San Beda College of Law.
