CONSUMERS should brace themselves for continued fuel price hikes given global developments such as a crisis in Venezuela and the US decision to scrap a nuclear deal with Iran, an Energy department official said on Wednesday.

With oil companies having announced steep pump price increases over the past two weeks, Oil Industry Management Bureau director Rino Abad raised the prospect of more in a chance interview with reporters.
