MOTORCYCLE riding gunmen struck again late Tuesday morning, killing a middle-aged businessman in a remote village in Tacalogon town in Agusan del Sur province, police reports said on Wednesday.
Reports at the PNP national operations center in Camp Crame identified the victim as Ernie Pujida Nuer, 36, married and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. San Nicolas in Tacalogon.
Police reports said that Nuer was standing in front of Llena’s Store at about 11 a.m. in Purok Tambis, Brgy. San Isidro also of the same town when the suspects on-board a motorcycle arrived in the area.
The police said that then suspects, both wearing helmet that concealed their faces, stopped in front of the victim and shot him four times hitting him in the head and other parts of the body resulting to his death. The police added that the gunmen immediately fled the scene after the shooting.
Recovered from the crime scene was one bullet shell from unknown type of firearm. Police are still investigating to determine the identity of the gunmen and the motive for the shooting. Anthony Vargas
