NISSAN Motor Co. and its motor sport division Nismo recently bared its 2014 racing plans, which include entry in the 24 Hours of Le Mans through its Nissan ZEOD RC, providing global support for customers racing with Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3, expanding the Nismo Athlete program, and participating in the GT500 class of the new 2014 Super GT series with the Nissan GT-R Nismo GT500.
Motul is a strong technical partner in many of Nismo’s motor sport activities, especially in the outfit’s participation in Super GT. Since the technical regulations for 2014 (excluding engines) have become aligned with those of the German Touring Car Championship, Nismo will take part in the series with a vehicle featuring a newly developed chassis and engine. To ensure the lubricants meet their stringent standards, Motul worked closely with Nismo through the development and testing phase.
The result is the number 230 Nismo car that sports a new livery bearing Nismo’s and Motul’s signature red, albeit now with a touch of silver. Driving it are the new pairing of Tsugio Matsuda and Ronnie Quintarelli.
In the Philippines, Motul is distributed by Autoplus Sportzentrium. For more information, call 726-0399 or log on to www.motul.com.ph.
