To celebrate International Women’s Day, British fashion label Marks & Spencer commissioned style denizens Kelly Misa-Fernandez and Patty Laurel-Filart, to share their personal styling and fashion tips for the modern woman.

Using the brand’s Spring-Summer collection, Misa and Laurel shared their expertise on how to glam up in the heat with staple pieces that provide comfort style and elegance.

According to Misa, a soft and inviting earthy palette of warm khaki and chestnut are the colors of the season, in clean, modern yet chicly designed details on oversized collars, plackets and patch pockets.

Denim jeans are also a big according to Laurel, via the coveted “model-off-duty look” (see banner story, page 8).

Lingerie pieces in a monochrome palette are in, exuding a vibe that is sweet but sultry.

As for accessories and footwear, the workshop speakers pointed to rucksacks and floatable sunglasses to kickstart a fun adventure in style.
