The Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors without Borders (MSF) is sending 200 tons of medical and relief items for the victims of super typhoon “Yolanda” in Cebu.
In a statement, the MSF said the medical and relief donations will arrive in Cebu within the next three days.
It also said the first cargo plane will leave Dubai Tuesday while the second plane from Ostende also on Tuesday.
The humanitarian cargo, the MSF said includes medical kits for treating wounds, material for medical consultations, tetanus vaccines, and relief items such as tents and hygiene kits.
It also said that its emergency teams arrived in Cebu on Saturday.
MSF is strengthening its team with an additional 30 people including medical personnel, logisticians and psychologists arriving in the following days. PNA
