Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Alexander Balutan travelled to Aliaga, Nueva Ecija on June 10 to formally turnover the ambulance unit to the municipality. Accompanying him during the ceremonies at the Aliaga Municipal Gymnasium was Cabanatuan Branch Manager Reynaldo Martin.
Balutan, who hails from neighboring town Zaragoza, was well received and adored by the locals as he shared his childhood memories growing up in the area. He said that being in the town felt like it was the good old days and giving back to his community in any way possible was very important to him.
The PCSO general manager also handed out cheques as Small Town Lottery (STL) shares for the month of May to representatives of seven local government units (LGUs) present out of 32 municipalities before the ceremonial blessing and official turnover of the ambulance.
Representatives from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional/Provincial Office and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional/Provincial Office received their respective STL shares for the month of May as well.
Balutan also stressed the importance of the public’s patronage of PCSO’s game products such as Lotto, Sweepstakes and the newly expanded STL.
“Refrain from playing illegal number games because it does not give back to the interest of the people. We at PCSO assure you that a portion of the money you pay to play our games has already been set aside for charitable programs such as free ambulance, free medical equipment, endowment fund and most importantly, the Individual Medical Assistance Program. Dito na tayo sa legal, may tsansa na kayong maging milyonaryo at sigurado pang balik-kawanggawa ang inyong tinaya,” said Balutan.
