MARK “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Muñoz said he is prepared to what may come when he clashes against middleweight Dutch mixed martial arts fighter and kickboxer Gegard Mousasi in Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night 41 at the O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany on May 31.
“I’m really looking forward to this matchup with Gegard Mousasi,” Muñoz told The Manila Times via online interview. “A win over him will get me a step closer to competing for a world title.
“I’m ready to do my best in this fight. So far, my condition is good. Gegard is a great opponent and competitor,” said Muñoz, 36, who lost to Lyoto Machida via knockout in October.
Muñoz, with a current win-loss record of 13-4, said that he learned a lot from his loss to Machida and is ready to move on.
Mousasi, also known as the “Dream Catcher,” holds 34-4-2 win-loss-draw record with 18 knockouts.
