• Murder suspect nabbed in Surigao Sur


    Members of the Rosario, Surigao del Sur Police Office has arrested a murder suspect, who was trying to escape by attending a rebel plenum on Friday dawn at a remote village in Surigao del Sur. Reports reaching Camp Crame identified the suspect as Ramil Perez Rodrigo, 25 years old and known as Dodong and Dodong Bakal. The reports said Rodrigo, along with some of his friends, were on a logging truck when they were intercepted at a checkpoint in Marihatag town. It added that Rodrigo and his friends were on their way to attend a rebel plenum being held annually in Marihatag. Rodrigo is the suspect in the shooting of Arnold Relox Torrepalma, 30, last December 26. Torrepalma was reportedly having fun attending a Christmas Disco party when he was shot. The suspect is now detained at the Rosario Municipal Police Station.
