• NAIA-1 roof still leaky

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) will have to rush work to stop leaks at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminal 1.

MIAA general manager Jose Angel Honrado said DMCI, the contractor of the P1.3 billion NAIA 1 refurbishment, has been asked to do an immediate waterproofing of the airport roof.

Terminal 1 manager Dante Basanta said there were leaks at the departure area when it rained on May 27.

Last Saturday during a downpour, a DMCI worker inadvertently left a water faucet at the fourth level open, triggering leaks at the departure and arrival areas.
