For Kathryn Bernardo, having clean and polished nails is a must. This is especially so now that she has been chosen as the first celebrity ambassador of local nail care brand, Chic.
On Tuesday, Kathryn’s newest endorsement with Chic was officially launched to the lifestyle and entertainment press at Bar One in Crowne Plaza Galleria Manila.
Emphasizing the importance of good and proper grooming, the blooming teen star zeroed in on the importance of clean nails.
“Dapat malinis ang nails sa hands and feet whether you are a boy or a girl,” insisted the prized ABS-CBN talent. Besides being vital to hygiene, she explained, “Kasama ang nails para malinis kang tingingan and no amount of makeup or designer clothes can take the place of looking neat.”
Needless to say, Kathryn is someone who loves having a manicure and pedicure. She shared, “If I have free time, I really spend it in nail salons. Kapag wala, I try to make time even just once a week. Pero kapag wala talaga, ako na lang ang maglilinis at maglalagay ng sarili kong nail polish.”
Kathryn’s endorsement also brings out her fun and colorful personality, which her young fans love and adore.
“Fan na talaga ako ng nail polish for a very long time,” Kathryn said adding that she was probably seven or eight years old when her mom began coloring her nails as playtime.
She continued, “Kaya nung nakita ko yung colors ng Chic, sobrang natuwa ako dahil ang daming choices for teenagers like me,” Kathryn exclaimed.
And because she loves colors so much, brand manager Lulai Alvez revealed that Chic will put out a minimum of four collections under the Kathryn Bernardo special edition nail polishes.
Alves said that two collections have already been launched. The first is dubbed Edgy, comprised of dramatic dark hues like Raven, Mystique, Blair Shadow and Angelique. The brand manager shared that the collection was themed after the recent blockbuster hit, She’s Dating the Gangster starring Kathryn and her perennial leading man, fellow teen star Daniel Padilla.
Knockout is the second collection, which offers a burst of bright colors like Blair, Femme Fatale, Hit Like a Girl, Ringside Babe, and the Lady is a Champ.
“We really want to capture all the colors for Kathryn,” Alvez declared.
“Hands on ako sa pagpili ng colors kasi teenager din ako kaya alam ko talaga ang mga gusto nila,” responded.
Chic is a nail polish brand that caters to a younger market, and is exclusively manufactured and distributed by Chic Center Corp.
