Napoles denies making cash withdrawals

ALLEGED pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles on Friday insisted that she did not make confirmations regarding withdrawal slips amounting to P25 million of three non-government organizations (NGOs) linked to her. “I did not sign anything and I did not confirm anything,” Napoles told reporters. She was reacting to an earlier statement of prosecution witness Leigh Vhon Santos, a bank officer of the Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC), who told the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan that they could confirm that the withdrawal slips of the NGOs were signed by Napoles. Santos  was referring to the withdrawal slips of the Masaganang Ani Para sa Magsasaka Foundation Inc., Social Development Program for Farmers Foundation Inc. and Philippine Social Development Foundation Inc. Napoles is a respondent in each of the plunder cases filed against Senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Juan Ponce-Enrile and Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada in connection with the pork barrel scam.
