The Alliance Française de Manille, the Embassy of France to the Philippines, Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippines, in partnership B-Side productions, present the 22nd edition of Fête de la Musique, on June 18 and 23.

To welcome this year’s Fête celebration in Metro Manila, French singer and composer, Nathan Zanagar, along with his band, will be serenading the crowd in an exclusive kick-off party tomorrow, 6 p.m., at Novotel Manila in Araneta Center.

Zanagar is a 23-year-old singer, with almost 2 million views on YouTube since 2010. An eclectic, emotive and promising artist, he started his music career in 2010 by writing ‘Hide and Seek’ for the original soundtrack of a movie which is a mix of gospel and rock.

During the years 2011 and 2012, Zanagar published on the internet some remixed songs, thanks to diverse collaborations with songs such as “Stayin’ Alive,” “Nightcall,” and “I Heard It Through The Grapevine,” among others. But the real project undertook in the background where in Zanagar worked with some French songs for more than two years.

Beginning 2013, Zanagar was on a roll—he performed in lots of concerts in Paris, in the Nouveau Casino, Petit Bain and also in the Zèbre de Belleville. At the end of that year, he recorded a cover of “The Hounds of Winter” by Sting, which was used for the show Comment vous racontez la partie by Yasmina Reza.

After this English song came out, Zanagar performed in New York in May, especially in the Bitter End, for three concerts, and after that in Copenhagen, in June 2014. He mostly sings his original titles in English for the purpose of a new project.

In autumn 2014, he returned to the studio for the production of the French project. He wrote and recorded his first pop-rock single “Le Jeune” (The Young), an ode to youth.

Two concerts in Paris followed, at the Baron and the Trois Baudets, and his most recent gigs took him to London where he entertained crowds at The Old Queen’s Head and the prestigious Proud Camden. He is now back in the studio and will release a new EP in autumn 2016.
