JCT-Blanche’s Jonathan Tiu, aboard a Nissan GT-R, has returned to the Batangas Racing Circuit to fight for his title in the fourth and final round of the 2014 National Drag Racing Championship (NDRC) Southern Series.
Tiu’s 9.146-second run in Quick 8 was all he needed to beat teammate Jayson Ong in a Honda Integra. Tiu dominated all four legs of the Southern Series to claim the overall Quick 8 title. Martin Manalo of RSL Motorsports took third place.
In the Pro Class, Temz Automart’s Arvin Millet finished first with a 12.493-second run. Martin Manalo took second with three podium finishes in the Southern Series battle. Aaron Lao finished in third spot.
Millet also claimed first in Expert Class. He was followed by Faye Cruz and Ralph Montalbo. In Sportsman Class, Jeff Geronimo bested Angelo Mendoza and Jannery Millet. Glenn Bonquin took first place in the Hotstreet Class with Raniel Pasahol and Chi Campos following him.
The 2014 NDRC series moves to the Clark International Speedway on June 14 for the final round of the Northern Series.
