I WAS able to squeeze in some time to fly to Boracay
a few weeks before the exodus of the metro crowd to this tropical
paradise. By this time, I’m sure that there are more than a
million footprints on the powdery shores and in a few days,
multitudes will troop to what is touted as the Filipinos’ favorite
Holy Week destination of all time.
One of the reasons why this
island remains to be the preferred place for an unforgettable summer
is the fact that it always offers something new to the vacationistas.
On this trip, I discovered not one but two beautiful places to stay
at when you’re on the island. Call these maverick resort-hotels at
this time, but Discovery Shores and Microtel Inn & Suites will
eventually be the ultimate places to stay at while beachcombing in
Boracay.
