Fly high. In style.

TRAVELING with the Lufthansa Private Jet is becoming even more comfortable. Starting this month, customers using this exclusive service can now book a limousine transfer at no extra cost. On request, passengers will be picked up at home and driven directly to board their private jet at the airport. Upon landing, a limousine will be waiting to whisk passengers off to their destinations.

Coordinated with a personalized event manager, the service is available both for customers on direct flights to around 1,000 Lufthansa destinations within Europe and the Russian Federation as well as for those on Private Jet connecting flights after flying long-haul routes with Lufthansa or Swiss Air. Lufthansa’s exclusive partner in this lifestyle package is the SIXT Limousine Service, a private company with a fleet of Mercedes Benz limousines driven by first-rate chauffeurs.

Lufthansa Private Jet products and services can also be viewed online at www.lufthansa-private-jet.com. All the information on the service, booking options and the fleet is made available in 12 languages. The website lists all the telephone numbers, worldwide, for passengers wishing to contact the service, and allows users to order a newsletter or brochures online.

In-flight catering and entertainment are tailored to individual requirements and passengers have full use at any time of first-class services laid out at the airport by Lufthansa, Swiss or Lufthansa partners.

Lufthansa Private Jet bookings can be made on the dedicated hotline +49 (0) 18 02 99 33 00 for Germany and the rest of Europe, and on 1 888 261 0814 for the US and Canada.

Appreciating Asiana

Asiana Airlines welcomed the agreement made in a recent two-day aviation meeting between South Korea and France, ending a route monopoly that lasted for 34 years. Asiana Airlines will now fly from Seoul-Paris three times a week.

Under the new agreement, Korea’s second national carrier Asiana Airlines will be allowed to fly the route while France can designate an airline of any European Union member country to service it as well.

South Korea ’s Ministry of Construction and Transportation reported that air passenger services for the route are expected to go up to four times a week with this new development. “With the agreement, better airline services are expected for passengers traveling between Seoul and Paris as multiple carriers can compete in the market. The load factor for Seoul-Paris route reached as high as 81.4 percent recently, causing inconveniences to passengers in securing air tickets,” the ministry reported.

Established in 1988, Asiana Airlines has built a reputation on service and reliability. It has been recognized for Best Onboard Service and Flight Attendants by Global Traveler for two consecutive years; and given the Airline Excellence Award and World’s Best Cabin Staff by London-based researcher Skytrax.

It recently added another feather to its cap by collecting the Global Traveler’s Award for Best Airline for Onboard Service and Flight Attendants for the third year in a row. US travel publication Global Traveler surveyed readers throughout 2006 for their top choice in various travel criteria. The gala ceremony, graced by Sex and The City star Cynthia Nixon on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, was held recently in Jumeirah Essex House in New York City.

In the Philippines, Asiana flies out of three points in the country: Manila, Cebu and Clark. The airline has promised more convenient schedules and upgraded services for passengers on the new route to Paris, one of the three gateways of Europe. Asiana Airlines also flies to London and Frankfurt.
