The DMCI-Metro Pacific consortium-controlled Maynilad
Water Services Inc. has announced another round of water service
interruptions in the West zone concession to make way for repair and
maintenance works.
In a statement, Maynilad said
that starting Wednesday 8 p.m. up to Thursday 12 noon some areas of
Manila will have no water for 16 hours.
These areas include portions of
Barangay San Nicolas bounded by C.M . Recto, Road 10, Del Pan, Pasig
River and Juan Luna; and the portion of Barangay Binondo bounded by
Pasig River, Juan Luna, Rizal Avenue and C.M. Recto.
The water service interruption is
due to the looping of the newly laid 400-mm steel pipe mainline to
the existing 300-mm crossover mainline along Reina Regente corner
Estero de la Reina, Binondo, Manila.
The water utility has advised
affected customers to store water good for the duration of the water
service interruption.
