Muntinlupa City administration candidates, Team
Fresnedi, held the longest proclamation and motorcade on Sunday
afternoon, led by Mayor Jaime Fresnedi’s wife, Lor, now gunning
for the top post along with her entire ticket.
Over 10,000 supporters of Team
Fresnedi bets gathered at the city’s gymnasium, the newly built
Fresnedi Sports Center, to join the motorcade.
Lor Fresnedi, also known as
“Tita Lor,” introduced her Team Fresnedi lineup—Temy Simondac
for vice-mayor, television host Dong Puno for congressman and
councilors for the First District, Amy Patdu, Luisa Echavez, Allen
Ampaya, Allan Camillon, Ike de la Rea, Melchor Teves, Luke Espeleta
and Kevin Delgado.
Second District candidates
include Luvi Constantino, Nep Santiago, Bet Abas, Ryan Bagatsing,
Rey Bulay, Marissa Rongavilla, Jhun Carlos and Jun Sevilla.
Turning Team Fresnedi’s
proclamation rally even more memorable was the appearance of the
national candidates of Team Unity before the Muntinlupa electorate.
Senatoriables Tito Sotto, Cesar Montano, Tessie Oreta, Alex Angara
(representative of Ed Angara, Vanessa Singson, daughter of Chavit
Singson; and Audrey Zubiri, wife of Migz Zubiri), expressed their
support for Team Fresnedi bets as well as presented some of their
platform of governance.
The sports center rally was
followed by a motorcade along the city’s main thoroughfare until
Sucat before going back to the sports complex. Parade participants
included people riding bikes, jeeneys, tricycles, buses and private
vehicles that drove slowly to the cheers of a long line of
bystanders cheering them along the way.
