The Department of Education will
overhaul the curriculum in the 261 technical-vocational schools in
the country by focusing on 18 priority and competency-based courses
including electrical technology, vegetable production and fish
culture.
This is part of DepEd’s new
goal to strengthen tech-voc schools and encourage students to enroll
in tech-voc courses instead of aiming to get a college degree
following their dismal performance in the scholastic aptitude in the
National Career Assessment Examination.
