THE Philippines must be the only country where
election-related violence is commonplace and where the killings of,
and attempts on, politicians and their leaders are taken for
granted.
Take a look at the global map.
Pick out any continent or any country and you will realize that no
place matches ours in political unruliness. One or two
Latin-American countries might.
