THE search is on! MTV is on the lookout again for two
fresh faces and über cool personalities who will claim the title of
new MTV VJ. The lucky guy and gal will be joining the prestigious
ranks of the likes of Cindy Kurleto, Donita Rose, KC Concepcion,
Marc Abaya, Sarah Meier, and the reigning Binibining Pilinas World
Maggie Wilson who served up your favorite music videos and the
hottest events during their stints as MTV VJs and pop culture icons.
Past MTV VJ Hunt winners include
Patty Laurel, Derek Ramsay, Belinda Panelo, Anna Shier, Claire
Olivar, KC Montero and MTV Asia VJ Colby Miller.
Cool guys and edgy gals between
18 and 24 years old, born with the gift of gab and brimming with
confidence, then it’s time to hop on over to the auditions at
selected SM Malls: April 25-SM North EDSA; April 28-SM Manila; April
29-SM Mall of Asia and SM Cagayan de Oro. All auditions start at 1
p.m. Getting yourself noticed as the next big thing is so easy. Just
bring your resume and photo to the FG Revolution Denim counter
inside the SM Department Store during the audition dates to
register. Armed with your love of music and pop culture plus a
fun-loving attitude, it’s time to head on over to the activity
center for your turn in front of the camera.
For those who are a tad shy or
just busy as a bee, tell us what makes you the next MTV VJ in your
own 3-5 minute audition video. Then upload your video to
www.mtvphil.com so the judges can check them out. Deadline for
submission is April 30, 2007.
Twelve finalists will make the
cut and compete in challenges to test their VJ potential in a series
of bar tours and activities building up to finals night. Wilson,
together with MTV VJs Anne Curtis and Victor Basa, will be helping
out the celebrity judges to determine who’s got what it takes to
join their ranks. One lucky guy and gal will earn their bragging
rights as the new MTV VJ when the winners are announced on June 22
at the Music Hall of the SM Mall of Asia.
