DFA has authority to
cancel passports–DOJ |
|
THE Department of Justice (DOJ) ruled that the
secretary of foreign affairs has the legal authority to cancel
passports.
In a legal opinion issued by
Justice Secretary Raul M. Gonzalez, he opined that Foreign Affairs
Secretary Alberto Romulo has the power to cancel passports of
Filipinos who are considered fugitive from justice and imperil
national security.
