KORONADAL CITY: A record-breaking
performance by Dian Berino in swimming towed defending overall
champion National Capital Region to the top as it surged with 5 gold
medals Tuesday in the 2007 Palarong Pambansa at the South Cotabato
Sports Complex here.
NCR, which both won the secondary
and elementary crowns last year in Naga City, collected three golds
in athletics and one each in swimming and gymnastics to reaffirm its
dominance anew in the annual multievent meet.
