Cebu’s Asiatown IT Park
is now home to Convergys

“The growth of Convergys in Cebu has been amazing,” says Arlene “Pinky” Mante, senior HR manager of Cebu. “In just three years we have grown the site to over a thousand people and now a second site is born that would make Convergys operations in Cebu grow even bigger by year-end. Imagine a workforce of more than 11,000 highly diversified and highly talented people!”

This is exactly the exciting sentiment that is the drive behind the opening of Convergys’ second contact center site in Cebu’s Asiatown IT Park.

Proud to be in Cebu

Recognizing the inherent talent and ambition of Filipinos from Cebu and surrounding regions, Convergys’ growth and success now celebrates this fervor and enthusiasm.

Convergys’ first Cebu site opened in November 2004 at Paseo San Ramon, Arcenas Estate. This 3,492-square-meter site in Banawa is joined by a second larger Cebu site at the i2 Building on Jose Maria del Mar Avenue, in Lahug’s Asiatown IT Park, which will be officially launched on May 10, 2007.

“Convergys’s second Cebu site will give more jobs and opportunities not only to Cebuanos but to people in neighboring regions in the Visayas and Mindanao. Equal opportunity is given to all who would want to join the Convergys family,” continues Pinky. “Cebuanos are very hard-working and passionate about whatever they do—be it their jobs or their entrepreneurship. Education has always been a priority for Cebuanos—this is the reason why we have a highly educated workforce at Convergys.”

“To prepare for the grand launch, we are frenetic with a lot of meetings and logistics to ensure that we present Convergys to the community with a sense of pride and integrity. We’re very excited,” says Stephen Slade, Cebu’s director of operations. “Convergys is well-positioned to be an industry leader and our growth in the Philippines is integral. Everyone can look forward to continued community support in adding to the economic stability of the Philippines as well as growing a strong workforce that will be sought after by the world.”

Build your future at Convergys

In Cebu, Convergys continues with its drive to seek and develop hard-working talents build their futures. With the best training and compensation packages in the industry, Convergys maintains its commitment to excellence with its second Cebu site.

Keyed up by the IT Park dedication, Stephen Slade encourages more and more industrious individuals to showcase and develop their ability with Convergys, “By building their futures at Convergys, Cebuanos, and all Filipinos, for that matter have the potential to develop both personally and professionally and become leaders themselves in the industry.”
