Magic 89.9’s Boys of Summer

Manila’s top pop radio station, Magic 89.9, has made waves once again and turned up the heat on the summer airwaves with the hottest show to hit the late night reviews. Millions of nice and naughty nighttime listeners have joined the kinky kingdom of the tabloidal triumph known as “Boys Night Out.”

The Voice of Summer, Magic 89.9, is guilty of keeping the Metro up way past their bedtimes, thanks to the hilarious trio of King DJ Logan, Slick Rick and Tony Tony.

While some might call label “Boys Night Out” as “Raunch Radio,” true connoisseurs of talent and wit know better. These boys of summer are sizzling hot! Broadcasting their unique brand of Pinoy humor weekdays from 9 p.m. to midnight, King DJ Logan and his merry crew know how to push the envelope while masterfully pushing buttons of their loyal listeners.

“People love our show because we’re a reflection of society. Affinity with the Filipino audience is our mantra. You can’t get this entertainment on any MP3 player,” says Logan, “Thinking you’re the best makes you complacent, lazy, less creative and arrogant. We just want to be better than our last show. And I think that’s what people appreciate with Boys Night Out. It’s Sexy Time!”

As the leader of this rocky ship, King DJ Logan (or KDL for short) revealed they will be releasing exclusive “Sexy Time” apparel for men and women which can be previewed on their show’s website.

Slick Rick, the boy next door with a hint of being naughty admits, “I’m the good boy between the three of us. I really can’t explain what people should expect from our program but I can guarantee lots of laughs. The Boys of Summer are a hit I think because we’re an easy show to listen to. We’re like three guys you probably have in your barkada. We just want to have fun and end the day with a laugh. Anyone brainless can relate to our humor.”

Rounding out the triad is Tony Tony, a self-confessed “game for anything,” happy go lucky guy who laughs hysterically and is always picked on but not pikon.

“Some consider me a brainless, clumsy, no commitments babaero,” laughs Tony. “I can’t help it. As for my partners, we are just being ourselves with informative yet crazy topics centered on our differing personalities. You never know what to expect or what will happen on the show. People just can’t get enough of Brando Braganza and Radio Tabloid!”

With steamy sex confessionals, games that do not require brainpower, surprisingly useful factoids and anecdotes and the unpredictably refined crudeness of Magic 89.9’s trashy triumvirate, what’s not to love with “Boys Night Out?”

Sexy Time . . . oh yeah!
