San Carlos mayor wounded, aide killed
in coronation night shooting

SAN CARLOS CITY: The mayor was
badly wounded and his aide was killed after they were shot Saturday
night in the latest violent incident in the run-up to the May 14
elections.
Mayor Julian Resuello was
attending the coronation of Miss San Carlos City at the city
auditorium when two gunmen fired at him. His civilian aide Jojo
Martinez tried to protect Resuello with his body but he too was
shot.
