It’s either you like her or you
don’t. She can be sharp, scandalous and straightforward. She
doesn’t mince words and is, more often than not, surreal. Rosanna
Roces was once tagged as Philippine showbiz’s most notorious
female celebrity. But people change, and now that she claims to have
found serenity in her renewed spirituality, Roces claims that her
dark days are finally over.
It was Osang who paved the way
for other sexy stars to make a big comeback on the silver screen
during the nineties. Her brave, bold films such as Patikim ng Pinya
(1996), Ligaya Ang Itawag Mo Sa Akin (1997), Ang Lalake sa Buhay ni
Selya (1997) and Curacha, Ang Babaeng Walang Pahinga (1998) made her
the inimitable ST Queen of Philippine movies during that time, and
one of the country’s most talked-about figures.

IN the old days, it used to be
mostly alcohol that young people indulged in. By “old days,” I
mean fifty or more years ago. In those days, kids went out and got
drunk.
