IN order to promote peace and camaraderie among
Muslims and Christians, the Filipino-Muslim Foundation Inc. will
launch the first ever Run for Peace on September 9 at the Rajah
Sulaiman Park in Manila.
With a theme “Bawat Hakbang
Tulong Mo Para sa Filipino Muslim Fire and Disaster Brigade
Volunteers,” the project aims to generate fund to finance the
purchase of a mini-fire track and training of Muslim fire volunteers
to contribute to the prevention of fire and disaster management
within the metropolis.
The project is spearheaded by the
organization’s president, Tho Dalimbang, and National Consultant,
Dr. A. Jo Kashim. Sports and Physical Fitness chairman Abdurrahman
Senoron will also lead the one-day affair.
