The passionate side of KC

She’s the ultimate cover girl— sought after by fashion and celebrity magazines for her talent, charm and sophistication. Even when she’s abroad, KC Concepcion’s refreshing presence continues to grace our lives with the numerous endorsements that allow her fans to see her regularly on TV.

But besides her glamorous facet, which fans are familiar with, there’s another side of KC only few people know about— she is very passionate about promoting education, emotional growth and providing shelter for street children.

KC is an active supporter of a private organization that provides the basic needs—shelter, food, education and love—to disadvantaged children. She donates supplies, and personally visits the kids whenever she’s in Manila.

Sharing her experience in her blog, KC talks about her recent visit to a home for poor and abandoned children. “Ito may naiwan talaga na mark sa heart ko seryoso . . . luv na luv na luv ko mga kids dun! hirap lang at ang layo layo ko!!!!!”

KC spearheads art events for the cause of the said organization. Since 2005 she’s worked on organizing Super! Artists’ Fair. It’s an event showcasing art exhibitions and celebrity bazaars, whose booth-owners share 10 percent or more of their total profit to the Virlanie Foundation, a shelter for disadvantaged children and Hands-On Manila, an organization that helps other foundations with their pool of volunteers.

KC considers working for this cause her way of sharing her blessings with those who need them most, “I learned from the organizations. I support that education and feeling loved are two of the most important things they need. Just being there to listen and read to the kids makes all the difference.”

Recently, this multitalented young lady was chosen to be the image model of Colour Collection, the premier cosmetic line of Fuller Life Direct Selling (formerly known as Sara Lee Direct Selling) because of her dynamic and passionate personality.

Known for its dermatologist-tested beauty products that do more than bring color to every woman’s face, this cosmetic line moisturizes, protects and nourishes the skin. It gives each wearer the natural glow that comes only from beautiful skin.

“We chose KC to be our image model because we believe that her personality complements the caring properties of Colour Collection. She is beautiful, talented and she uses these to help and care for others. KC goes beyond what is expected of her,” Fuller Life Direct Selling marketing manager Charmane Abad says. “She sets a fine example that today’s young women should emulate.”

KC truly serves as an inspiration for everyone, as she goes beyond her boundaries to be involved and do what she can to help others.
