Girl Power Lives On!

It was more than a decade ago since Emma Bunton, Mel Brown, Mel Chisholm, Victoria Adams and Geri Halliwell rose to super star status as the “in your face” British girl group “The Spice Girls.” Better known by their hordes of fanatics around the globe as Baby, Scary, Sporty, Posh and Ginger, the Spice Girls became a phenomenon that helped defined a generation. Through their upbeat anthems, colorfully kitschy costumes, and multimillion-dollar making image, which spawned numerous albums, concerts, endorsements and even a movie, this singing and dancing quintet pushed the epitome of “Girl Power.”

Much has changed since then and the girls have since become women with separate lives of their own. Since 2001, each member has since pursued solo careers with varying degrees of success, while Posh Spice has become better known as fashion icon Victoria Beckham.
