TOP shooter Nathaniel “Tac” Padilla expressed
confidence on Friday that he has a good chance in the forthcoming
Southeast Asian Games in Thailand.
Padilla has not stopped training
since joining the national team in 1976 and he looks forward to
another brilliant showing in the biennial meet.
“Honestly, I’m not preparing
yet. Besides, I have prepared 30 years ago. I’m very confident
with my event. The pressure should not be on me. It should be on my
competitors,” said Padilla.
Asked on what hinders him from
training, he answered, “There are no supplies yet. As of now, I
have no coach. My father will be my coach.”
Padilla said the national
shooting team is composed of high-caliber shooters who can dominate
their respective events.
“All shooters in the team are
gold medal hopefuls. To qualify for the team, we have to break the
gold medal standard in the last SEAG,” Padilla explained.
