Bonds home run king

Breaks Aaron’s 33-year-old record with 756


SAN FRANCISCO: Barry Bonds surpassed Hank Aaron as Major League Baseball’s all-time home run leader here Tuesday, completing a long and controversial ascent with his 756th career homer.

The 43-year-old San Francisco Giants slugger clubbed a 3-2 fastball by Washington Nationals left-handed pitcher Mike Bacsik into the right field seats with one out and nobody on in the fifth inning to break the record Aaron had held for more than 30 years.
