CARTOON NETWORK continues to give kids and
grown-ups a blast both on the boob tube and the silver screen.
Beginning this August, families can catch their favorite cartoon
characters on the Cartoon Network Theater at the nearest
participating SM Cinema. Explaining the bold move to the media
recently was Sashim Parmanand, executive director of Cartoon Network
Enterprises, “Cartoon Network Theater is another innovative
platform for Filipinos to experience the brand beyond the confines
of the television set.”
Cartoon Network is reinforcing its status as a
lifestyle entertainment super brand and for the endeavor, Parmanand
says, they chose the SM chain of cinemas as partner because of its
extensive network in the country.
Cartoon Network’s offering for the big screen
this August includes The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy: Billy
& Mandy’s Big Boogey Adventure; My Gym Partner’s a Monkey:
The Big Field Trip; The Powerpuff Girls: Mother’s Compilation;
Camp Lazlo: Where’s Lazlo; Dexter’s Laboratory “Father’s
Compilation,” and Codename: Kids Next Door: Operation Z.E.R.O.
This early, Cartoon Network Theater is
announcing that it will have special features celebrating holiday
weekends. For Halloween, Cartoon Network has prepared “Sweet Sweet
Fear,” a collection of titles that will surely deliver goose bumps
and guffaws, which includes: Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends:
Bloooo; The Life and Times of Juniper Lee: It’s the Great Pumpkin,
Juniper Lee; Ed Edd n Eddy: Don’t Rain on My Ed; Codename: Kids
Next Door: Operation J.E.W.E.L.S; The Grim Adventures of Billy &
Mandy: The Bubble with Billy; and The Powerpuff Girls: Candy is
Dandy.
Christmas will be doubly happy this year with
the special Christmas compilation, “Cartoon Network Christmas
3,” featuring Camp Lazlo: Snow Beans; The Grim Adventures of Billy
& Mandy: Billy & Mandy Save Christmas; Foster’s Home for
Imaginary Friends: Store Wars; Ed Edd n Eddy: In Like Ed; and
Codename: Kids Next Door: Operation N.A.U.G.H.T.Y.
