Photography comes full-circle

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as well as in the eye of the camera lens. And never did the camera love more ardently than in the case of Madame Sophia Loren—the Italian actress whose images have managed to rewrite the canons of beauty the whole world over. Loren describes herself as a “unity of many irregularities,” evidenced by features that are both patrician and distinct which define her beauty.

We can appreciate the splendor of Madame Sophia Loren and the urbane country of Switzerland through images taken by respected photographer Raul Teehankee in his exhibit Images of Switzerland and France: people, places and events. In this endeavor, Teehankee, who lived and worked in Geneva for several years, teamed-up with his old-time friends and confidants from Epson Philippines, Doy Roque, CEO of Media Meter, the Shangri-La Plaza; Louie Cruz of Destileria Limtuaco; Thelma San Juan of ABS-CBN publishing; and team POPOLI to come up with what could be the biggest event of the year.
