PASAY City Mayor Wenceslao “Peewee”
has warned all beer joints in the city that they would be closed
down if found guilty of fronting for prostitution.
He said over the weekend that he
would continue with his new policy of going after operators of
vices.
“We will leave no stone unturned
in the ongoing campaign to rid the city of vices and I want to send
a strong message to owners of the beer joints that we are serious in
our campaign,” he said.
Trinidad last week ordered the
closure of the Magellan Health Club & Sauna Bath at 2015 Gil
Puyat Avenue.
Pasay City hall police detachment
chief Inspector Carlos Ogalinola said he recommended the closure of
the sauna parlor after they discovered its illegal operation.
Trinidad also warned big
nightspots to stop featuring lewd shows.

Harrison, Cloud Nine on Taft Avenue, Viva Manila, Athena, East Asia,
Club Temptation and other nightspots on Roxas Boulevard.
He said bold shows proliferated
during the 10-month period that he was suspended for an allegedly
anomalous garbage contract.
Even small-time canteens on
sidewalks were not spared in Trinidad’s campaign. He also ordered
them demolished.
Trinidad also warned police to
stop protecting establishments found to be a fronts of prostitution,
saying they would not be spared.
