The 2nd Internet Café Congress was held at the Megatrade Hall 2 at
SM Megamall last Saturday. At least 75 companies in the computer,
telecommunications and e-commerce industry participated in the said
event with highlights of the exhibition presenting over a thousand
latest computer parts and equipment. There were even demonstration
of the latest games from leading on-line gaming companies, the
latest software, seminars, raffles and the I-Café Congress awarding
ceremony.
The I-Café Choice award was given to the most
outstanding companies in their respective categories. This year’s
winners were: E-Games for the gaming company category, Samsung for
the monitor category, Epson for the printer category, Intel for the
processor category, Creative Technology for the speaker category and
Microsoft for the operating system category. While, A4 tech bagged
three awards for the camera, mouse and keyboard category.
Other winners were: Liteon for the optical drive
category, Seagate for hard disk, Bottomless Ink for the ink provider
category, Kingston for memory, MSI for motherboard, D-Link for
networking, APC for the power provider category and Inno3D for video
card.
Besides that, another award was also given to
the Most Aggressive Company of the Year—which was given to Canon
Marketing Philippines.
This was the 2nd Internet Café Congress that
was held this year—the first one held last March pulled in over
6,000 attendees.
