Will Ikon win give Vina Morales 
a career resurgence?

 
DESPITE having one of the most beautiful faces in the local music industry, the star of Vina Morales seemed to still be lacking in luster and prominence.  With her recent big win at the first Asean Ikon finals in Malaysia, will her career finally get the much-needed boost it has so long been waiting for?

Morales beat Malaysian superstar Jaclyn Victor, the 2004 Malaysian Idol who has won several local and international awards. She opened her act singing the refrain of her hit song “Pangako Sa Yo.” She chose to follow it up with “ Feels So Nice” and was greeted by thunderous applause as she strutted her stuff in a white, body-hugging suit and knee-high boots.
