Motorola RAZR2 V8
What is it: The latest model in
the best-selling Motorola RAZR series.
Who’s it for: The RAZR crazy.
Wallet magnet: Priced reasonably;
incredibly thin design; relatively fast processor; large 2.2” QVGA
display; large 512MB internal memory; 2MP camera with 8x digital
zoom; touch screen external display for multimedia playback; first
RAZR model with Linux-based OS.
On second thought: Smudges
easily; feels heavy at 117 grams; no external memory slot; no Wi-Fi
or 3G.
What’s in the box: Motorola
RAZR2 V8 mobile phone; USB stereo earphones; rechargeable battery
and power supply; CD software and manual.
Tech Times’ verdict: Once
again, Motorola extended the life of its most successful phone model
series, and we’re not complaining.
Creative Inspire T3100
What is it: A 2.1 multimedia
speaker set.
Who’s it for: People who lack a
decent sound system for their computer.
Wallet magnet: Low-priced; wooden
subwoofer with separate volume control; nice satellite speaker
design; good sound.
On second thought: Low-end
frequencies are a bit muffled as well as thin mid frequencies at
high volume.
What’s in the box: Creative
Inspire T3100 2.1 stereo speaker system (one subwoofer and two
satellite speakers); power supply; manual.
Tech Times’ verdict: It may not
sound that great but the price is a complete bargain.
