CEBU CITY: Twelve teams compete in seven events in
the 30th Philippine Airlines Intersports which kicks off today at
the Cebu City Sports Club.
Cebu Governor Gwen-dolyn F.
Garcia will be the special guest during the opening ceremony at 1
p.m. while Domingo T. Duerme, PAL senior assistant vice president
and tournament chairman, will declare the Games open.
Over 800 athletes, all business
executives and professionals from various PAL points, will take part
in the three-day tournament that culminates with the crowning of the
overall champion at the Grand Convention Center of Cebu on September
1.
Events on tap are badminton,
regular basketball, seniors’ basketball, billiards, bowling,
tennis and golf.
