Economy grows 7.5% |
|
Best second-quarter performance in 20 years, but
doubts persist |
|
The economy has surpassed
forecasts and expanded 7.5 percent year-on-year in the second
quarter, the fastest pace in two decades, President Arroyo announced
Thursday.
“We are confident of meeting
our full-year growth forecast of 6.1 to 6.7 percent,” the
President said in a televised address.
